We had a wonderful time as a family on our last adventure. WE had tried a couple times to fly out but the wind was too bad so we were happy to finally land in camp and spend three days hanging out and enjoying the country. The second morning I harvested a small bull caribou and we spent the next day and a half laying around camp, napping and waiting for the wind to die down so we could safely fly home again. Luckily there was a meat pole in camp for hanging the meat. The "airstrip" we landed on is the gravel looking part to the right of the plane...it was on a ridge and got really windy at night....we were camped down below in the brush. Amelia was a really big help getting camp hauled down the hill and set up and then again hauling it back uphill to the airplane. She hauled the antlers up for us too......soon she will be packing meat!
