Gramma and her flock of grandchildren...we were missing two that day..... We went on a nice hike with the kids. The town that Lance grew up in (Midvale) is in the back ground in the valley below where we were hiking. It's a really nice farm town with great people! A great place to take the kids to to see all the farming and ranching.

You can see why we came home wanting our own little mini-farm here in Alaska. They kids had so much fun with all the animals....and actually, I think I had more fun! I'm in the process of trying to find lambs to raise for the summer. We are also getting 10 meat chickens and 2 turkeys and maybe a rabbit or eight!!!! or ten.....

We got to Idaho in time to brand the new calves with Lance's sister and her family. We branded 51 calves that day..... there was a lot of mooing going on! The boys had fun showing Reid how to rope a calf. Reid had no fear of being in the calf pen with all the calves and even got kicked a couple of times...which I think he was proud of! He needs a cow or sheep or something!!!!! that was fun!
