Ray flew my dear friend Lora and I out to a cabin that him and Lance built on a remote Lake so we could paint it for him. We enjoyed a great hike afterwards and even though it rained most of the day....we enjoyed time in the wilderness finally!

Our latest dirtwork project....Lance cut down 155 trees and is now digging gravel out for the hangar lot and we will have a lake here soon! Lance got really stuck in the mud with the bobcat but we managed to pull him out by tying chains to a tree and winching our way out of the mud.....

Our tent at the Farmer's market...well...mostly craft market lately but the produce is starting to come in....Amelia selling crafts with her local friends....it has been fun!

Babe and Rosa are quite tame now and are growing big. We let them into the back part of the pen to graze on fireweed. We hope to have meat rabbits added to the farm soon!

Mosquitos have not been bad this year but we happened upon this batch of freshly annoying knats of some kind.....made for a good photo anyway!

A recent campout with our friend's Martha, Emma and Will out the Denali Highway....we dodged a few thunderstorms, ptarmigans mating in the night and me rolling over in the tent on my car keys and setting the truck alarm off at 4am.......but we will do it again...it was lots of fun!!!

Another fashion statement.....Reid thinks if he hikes his pants up he will be safe from getting wet in the creek....forget the water that will rush into his boots!

This is what results when you wear a long skirt to the lake and need to tuck it in so it won't get wet while you wade in the water!!! what a fashion statement! I can see this photo in Amelia's highschool yearbook!

Ella, Amelia and Reid in the canoe on the lake by our house......

This was a really fun day recently..well, actually in May when it was the warmest it's been all summer! My friend Joel took the kids out in the canoe and little Ella and Reid were riding their pedal-less bikes around!
