Piper fell out of the back of the truck a couple weeks ago.....long story but she was looking sad having to wear this cone on her head so she wouldn't chew the stitches out....lessons learned and money spent but at least she is ok....on a better note. Lance took this scenic photo last week when he went hunting with his dad. Beauty is all around us!

Two days ago we were having a weenie roast with Nana and Papa out on the Denali Highway and now we have snow!!!! Hopefully it goes away. I have lots of outside projects that need to get done before winter.....

More gold! I have to say I am quite obsessed with finding the stuff and I am looking forward to some more prospecting next summer when Lance's dad comes back up here......

We have had this little moose in our yard off and on for over a month now. He is this year's calf and has obviously lost his mom and seeking refuge in our yard. He loves to lay down and munch our nice green grass.....he was interested in the kids' horse! We hope he makes it through the tough winter...we have enjoyed watching him but it does worry me that he is not at all afraid of us!
