Lance's dad, Jim has been gold panning....and sluicing (that's the contraption that he is running in the background) out at Valdez Creek 2 hours from our place. he is finding some gold...enough to keep it interesting anyway. Notice the shiny flecks in the goldpan. that was found on our last trip out to see him. Doesn't look like much but there is more....he won't let me say how much!!!! The kids had fun seeing where gold comes from and we are heading back out this week for a few days....

I had the kids and their friend Arabella pose in front of my flower bed..... A friend gave me a bunch of red lilly bulbs this spring and they are in full bloom.... thought it was pretty!

Amelia got to go for a nice long flight with her dad today and they picked up a few caribou antlers. As they were sitting out on the tundra having a picnic....a curious caribou approached. Amelia was quite excited!
