Amelia, Ali and Saige skiing at Winterfest this weekend in the Park....

Good old redneck Cantwell fun! A couple weeks ago several neighborhood families got together on the river behind the house and roasted hotdogs and marshmallow....and thanks to Bubba...steak!!! The kids enjoyed digging in a snowbank and "hunting" rabbits in the woods (for pretend). We "hookie-bobbed" which is Lance's term for pulling sleds behind the snowmachine...we had three sleds with a kid in each of them all screaming for more!!!!!!

Reid has been obsessed with the snowmachine lately...we practically have to prie his hands off with him kicking and screaming....such a motor-head! In this photo he is wearing Lance's ear muffs because the Tundra is kind of loud...for some reason he calls them basketballs.....this is behind the house on the river where we were ice-skating....Panorama mountain in the background...nice backyard!

This was a rare opportunity to ice-skate behind the house on the river...the ice was in perfectly smooth condition. Amelia and Rachel were doing great with their skates and Reid was using the buckets to maintain balance on the slippery ice.....I think it was about 15 degrees that day and a few days later we got about 8 inches of snow and now the ice is covered......

Happy Valentine's Day! My little Love-Bug Baker's had lots of fun "painting" frosting on these heart shaped cookies!

Since we have been home Lance has been hauling and splitting firewood. The new woodstove is great but a lot more work than oil! He borrowed a friend's wood splitter and that has made the job a lot easier! We should be set on firewood through the end of next winter now!

Amelia's 4th Birthday party was a hit! There were 12 kids here at the house! We decorated her bedroom with hearts and red and pink balloons. The kids were able to play and eat cake and ice cream in there. She got lots of great gifts and the limbo was quite fun! The party theme was Love for Valentine's Day. We made gift bags for all the kids to take home and Rachel spent the night......

Jack River Winery employees of the year! As if we didn't have enough to do when we got home..we decided it was time to brew a batch of merlot wine to get us through the rest of winter!
