Our trip to South Carolina was lots of fun....now we're ready for the beach. Hawaii here we come!!!!!

The South Carolina zoo was lots of fun and the leopard was very interesting!!

Papa Morningstar has a new tractor and Amelia got to drive!!! What a thrill!!!

Amelia's Uncle Sammy breeds rabbits and had a batch of babies while we were visiting. She was very excited to be able to hold a bunny!!! They had just opened their eyes and were tiny.

Amelia and I just returned from a trip to south Carolina to see my folks. She had a great time with her Uncle Kevin and Aunt Laura. They were lots of fun and the memories we made will last a life time. Her favorite gift from them was Ice Age the Meltdown dvd and I have watched it so much that I am about to have a meltdown of my own!!!

Happy Halloween. We dressed up twice. Once as a park ranger in alaska and a bumblebee in Idaho. Lots of fun!!!!

These shots were all taken on a recent beautiful fall day. Amelia and I hiked up a valley close to home. It was about a 2 hour climb up the valley and I have to admit I was sweating!!! It's not like it used to be.....but better in a lot of ways. The blue berries were almost gone due to frost but Amelia found some to feet to Piper. Luckily Amelia sleeps well in the backpack so the hike wasn't as long for her as it was for me.

We went to the Palmer fair last week and met up with our friend's Sandra, Jason and baby Allan. The kids had a blast with the animals, although Amelia didn't care for the cows. Chickens and rabbits were her favorite.

she is pictured here with a 600+ pound pumpkin. the record is over 1000 pounds but we had a cold, wet summer. Maybe I'll try pumpkins in the greenhouse next year.....

Just a few shots of Amelia and some of her friends. The wagon is a big hit this summer, I found it at the dump,...one man's trash is another's treasure!

Amelia and Rachel like to play dress up..They are either carrying around cell phones and shopping bags or pretending to shoot squirrels with a stick as their gun!!! Cantwell girls for sure.

Amelia acquired this horse, "Black Beauty" is it's name. She could ride for hours!!! No fear!

Lance was clearing some land to dig gravel out for our driveway and Amelia wanted to jump in the back-hoe. She loves "big trucks".....

Well, what can I say? We've had fun wearing our new dress up shoes!! I think Amelia is really going to be a "girly-girl". It has been a busy summer. Lots of house projects. Lance is getting busy flying with hunting season. Blueberries are getting ripe and winter will be here all too soon. We'll update more later.

You can tell that Amelia didn't work very hard for this catch but she seemed to enjoy herself. We put up 65 pounds of fish, frozen, smoked and canned. Copper River Reds are prized fish and go for about $17/pound. It was a lot of work but will be great to eat all winter long!

We recently loaded up the pickup and drove 7 hours to Chitina to go dipnetting on the Copper River. WE had a grand adventure and cought 29 fish. It was tiring fighting the current with the net but paid off. It took us over 7 hours to catch the fish.

Changing a diaper on the beach isn't the easiest task but we managed!! Amelia loved the clams....she kept saying." wow, cool!" and then she would squeeze them! We managed to get 150 clams in two hours!!! Clam chowder anyone???? A good time was had by all. We were pretty sandy by the end of the day.

We took a family trip to Cook inlet to go clamming. It was a three hour flight. Amelia got airsick but after that she started having a great time!! We landed the cub on the beach and camped with the bears for the night......A little rain but the fire helped keep the bugs away.

Lance bought Amelia her very own headset and she thinks it's cool. We flew out to our friend's Lodge on the Denali Highway and she got to test them out.....

Amelia knows how to "chill". We just hooked up the swing on the front porch. I can't get her inside anymore. She loves playing outside....definately my child......

This is Amelia's new bedroom. She is pretty proud and excited to be able to play in here. It has been a construction zone since mid winter.... Last night was her first night and she did pretty good. The view of the door is to show the nice shelves that Lance made. This used to be a window and the door didn't take up all the space so he filled it in with shelves. He is so handy!!!

This was our last ski of the season, (April 28th) we are really sad to see it go! But looking forward to green vegetation and flowers!!!!

Amelia and Rachel sporting trendy sunglasses!

"Breakup boots"!! Amelia is discovering the joys of mud puddles!!!!

These pics are from Easter in Idaho. Amelia had a blast riding the horse a little bit with her Uncle Aaron.....She was a pro at the community Easter Egg hunt. Amelia got to do a lot of "firsts", play in the sand box, pet a kitten, see cows and sheep(for real, not just in books) It was a great time!!
